Name and shame
Jump to: Newest in thread
So if we can't name and shame on this site how do we stop people who cant take no for an answer pestering and making insulting/offensive remarks?
We've blocked the person involved and didn't give him any ammunition prior to that. By not being able to name and shame he can now go onto others and do what he did to us. We can't report him via the fab messages as he did it through our telephone which was exchanged for the purpose of meeting. |

I have no idea what you mean but if he was threatening try the police .If he keeps ringing you with abuse report him to them he could end up in prison |

You can still report. Fabs is not responsible for monitoring behaviour away from the site but patterns can emerge. |

That's why it's best to stay on site for chats and have a separate fab phone with a throwaway SIM |

And this is just one of the many reasons that single guys on here have such a hard time |

You should still report him to fab. How else do you think they can deal with abusive members?

If anyone has any worth I don't think they would take what someone else says as 100% true. I am sure they would want to make their own mind up about a person but thats just my view.
From the sites point of view there will never be never and shame as it is open to abuse...I mean I could say on the forum or my profile that any poster above me abused me in mail last week, it isn't true of course but see how easy it is for people to make things up just to be an arse to someone. |

We posted the thread to try and make others aware ,that this guy doesn't like to be told sorry
"No"
The site is for fun not to be pestered by people who you choose not to meet .
It's has happened to us ,we are trying to eliminate it happening to others ,it's distressing |

OP
If you have had a profile on here for longer that 5 minutes then you should be aware that there is a potential for stroppy messages, we just get used to it.
The whiners, pesterers, the bullies and the abusers. It isn't right but it happens, most on here have had these messages it is nothing new.
Just block him from all forms of communication, move on and grow a thicker skin. |

"Block them and post there user name."
Posting username is not allowed under forum rules this will probably result in a forum timeout, report and block |

I have reported abusive messages on site to admin and blocked the people involved but friends have told me the profiles are still up and no action was taken. Also they can just delete and start a new profile. One local man to me has been doing this for over a year, he opens a profile and as soon as I block him, he deletes the old one and starts again!! |

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.****** |
