It's to do with o2. I had to change the 18+ settings by entering my credit card details but then it still does it sometimes when wifi isn't available. Not found the solution yet though |

yes, O2 restricted 3/4G access to adult sites. So this affects giffgaff and tesco. (not sure of any others).
You can use the O2 live chat, phone with CC details or take id into an O2 shop to lift restrictions. Not sure on the process regarding tesco or giffgaff. |

No issues with giffgaff. You control your own profile on their Web page so is dead simple to alter anything you like without having to call or go a find a person with a pulse to help out. Best thing I did moving from O2 5 yrs ago. |

We've both got 3 mobile and we also had this problem a few times. It's resolved Every time we call up and just say we're looking at porn and it's fine but looking on a fuck site it's blocked. They come out with some whaffle about updateds and within mins it's back on. |

After reading all the advice about this problem I have rang tesco mobile customer service team and said I was having problems accessing over 18 sites and they turned setting off and I am now back on fab using Google platform again. Bearing in mind I have been with tesco for two years and did all this when I came onto tesco mobile. So now all is working fine again. |

"Iam on o2 i downloaded a app from Google play store called vpn and eorks fine now hope this helps"
Use this too for watching Netflix etc while abroad. Select the country you want and it's sorted. |

"I also have Opera Mini installed on my phone and fab is opening ok on this platform." If I remember correctly, Opera Mini claims to speed up your access by routing all it's traffic via their own Servers, so would get round the over18 sites block.

"It works on 4g when I use a vpn, so does that suggest it's an issue with the 3 network? Or is it the site? Would love the site Admin to respond.. "
Using VPN bypasses the adult controls that 3 network have put in.
That means it's your network, not the site. |

Had a problem with 3 for a few days at the start of the week. Unable to get onto fab, kept getting error messages, Mrs phone worked fine though. Tried to load it on Chrome instead of my usual browser and got a message saying the adult filter was on. Had to phone customer services to get them to reset it so that would be my best suggestion to do. If you've not previously age verified with them though you might need to use a credit card to do so first. |

I don't think its anything to do with adult settings as I've been using it for years.I had a problem with only 4g couple of days ago but it was sorted when I shared my experience on that forum. Is it from site by any chance??? Admin might shed some light. |

If you can get on the site via wifi or using a vpn it 100% your network provider. I am on 3 and they still turning the adult block on and off. I have my adult blocking turned off. It works for a while then fab is blocked. |

Three network says their new firewall is turning everyone's adult filter back on. The operator said he would remove it. He said 10 mins. But it still isn't working. Factory reset on the phone hasn't helped either. |

If they can't keep the settings to stay off and want access to your credit card or some such nonsense then just bypass it with a VPN package and have done with it.
My provider wanted a credit card and I neither own one and, even if I did, I wouldn't give it to them anyway.
Installed a VPN and I've never been blocked since. |

Just to add.. Three are blocking my adult sites again. Worked fine for a couple of days. Rang them and they are still having problems. They say it is definitely a fault at there end and should be sorted in 48 hrs. |
