Can't PM when in chat room

Hi everytime I try to send a private message whilst in chat the message box opens but as soon as I start writing it shows up in the general messages. Anyone else experienced this ? Thanks

You mean that the text you enter appears in the main chat text entry box? Have you tried clicking in the PM text entry box?

This is what happens when I click on the pm button as the window opens correctly but as soon as I start to type it just shows in the general public room messages even though the pm box is still open . ?? Very odd as only just started
