Hi There

I hope anyone can help my cam used to work perfect and I now keep getting this message:

HTML5 cams (v002)

New: You can now view cams without Flash installed. Just tap/click the cam icon next to username. You still need Flash to broadcast your own cam.

There's no sound yet.

We're working next on touch and mobile friendly chat.

I assumed it maybe because of flash and have installed the latest version and still have the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated

Junior

Has anyone sorted this problem yet. I keep getting the message and cannot activate my camera. I tried admin but they do not understand and refer me to previous reply that have nothing to do with it.

Very odd!

None of the Windows users, above, have stated which Browser they use, but, in Chrome, I can only force that error if I set Flash to "Block sites running Flash" under content settings. But if I do that, then the http://www.adobe.com/uk/software/flash/about/ page doesn't function correctly!

If I set Flash back to "Ask first ..." then both the Flash "about" page and Chat seem to work correctly!

I don't know what to suggest!

I was using chrome

However I think i found a solution no thanks to admin of course

On chrome if you go to the address bar and type chrome://plugins you can set the flash settings to always turned on and your cam

Should be able to work.

Hope this helps

Thanks for posting the solution. Ive just had the earlier message appear on my chat, and spent a few hours checking virus software and stuff, updating flash player, and couple of re-starts! But searched the forums in the end and followed what you said about plug-ins and for some reason, flash player was turned off.

This is even more odd!!

If I turn off Javascript, the chat page doesn't get displayed at all, I don't even see the "HTML5 cams (v002)" or "Click to Start Cam" messages!

On Google Chrome If you do not get the means to use your camera when you go into CHAT please try the following. Open Chat as usual. On the address line at the top there should be an i inside a circle on the left hand side. Click on it and a drop down menu should appear. Most, except pop ups should be on allow or ask. Go to flash click on the arrow then ‘Always allow on this site’. Close list and at the top click reload button. All should work. It also works for me on Fab Guys. That should work until you leave the site but may have to do the same next time. Hope this is of assistance.
