Hi
I have an inbuilt webcam which simply won't work. I have updated flash and still nothing .
I can see cams perfectly well, but I can't see mine at all
Oh for the record it works fine on msn, gmail and skype. |

Try plugging something into your MIC (sound in) socket e.g. pair of headphones, give that a whirl

Thanks for the advise. Unfortunately it did not work. I have no inbuilt mic so I have to plug in a headset to speak.
Plugging this in and then plugging in a earphone set did not work either together or seperately.
I refreshed the connection after each attempt.

It's beyond a joke now, for one time only ours worked, now it's back to not working at all.
We really like to get on cam to meet and verify people and also to play so it is very dissapointing that nothing has been fixed.
Our cam works on MSN, Skype etc so it has to be a problem with the site software. |

I've used all the browsers but I think I have found a solution and if so apologies for the tone of my earlier post.
You have to enable your sound card as well as your camera. I have a usb sound card and if I plug it in, the webcam works. Very strange, but admin were on the right track with plug in a mic suggestion. |

Found a fix. The sound card is the key. I was plugging my mic into a USB dock so it was not activating the sound card. Once I plugged it directly into my laptop Windows 7 insatlled the software for the 3 zillionth time and the cam worked. Seems that it's a windows 7 thing to forget drivers for devices that you do not use often. So if using a USB docking station don't and plug it in direct.

im having exactly the same problem,works fine with msn,yahoo,but on here nothing!latest flash player,new web cam,tried it all,still no joy(all these lovely women missing out on my sexy cam dancing too lol,any sugestions? |

There is only abiut one thing I haven't plugged into this laptop to get my cam working and thankfully it's to big to fit in a USB port!

Mine will work but after awhile turns off!? my cams still on and I can watch myself but no one else can watch me and people who were watching me can't see my cam anymore, the little cam icon also disappears |

same here , worked for a while then just a white screen , works fine on skype and msn , i think i changed resolution in cam settings then it worked for a bit , also signed out of msn and seemed to work for a while

i would uninstall flash player an down load the latest version.- 10.3.181.26 (IE)
clean all cookies etc;
use another browser google ghrome.
as previous said close all other programs ie msn, Skype or web cam software - this could effect it the performance of the cam.
hope this helps |

My webcam has stopped working in fabswingers, via google chrome, i hover over the webcam link but nothing happens. also, it does even give an option to open in ie8, so not sure what to do. |
