Should I get a message back at some point to say what action is being taken?

No, it says when you report them that for confidentiality reasons, they don't tell you what action was taken.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

--

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

So it's official then Fabswingers gets 100's of reports every day so that's about 1000 roughly per week or 50,000 reports a year.

Maybe then it's about time some thing was done about time wasters don't you think.

Nobody said there all to do with time wasters but maybe out of a possible 50,000 reports some just might be !

What do you class as a timewaster?

I can't see all reports are about timewasters. There are lots of reasons why people get reported.

The question another poster asks is relevant though, what is your definition of a timewaster?

"How can I report someone who has blocked me"
If you go to their profile, you should have "Report User" on the blue menu at the left.

"Should I get a message back at some point to say what action is being taken?"

A couple of years ago when I was here under a different name, I reported someone to admin. I won't say what for as it is history now. I was eventually contacted by the person I reported and they told me what had gone on between them and admin. They made a profuse apology to me and said they would never upset me again, and they didn't. So I can say from personal experience the report facility really does work.

You can still see the report button from their profile. People can also report from a PM

HI All, even if someone has blocked you, you can still report them.

Do a search for them and click on their name. A page will come up saying you can't view their profile etc

BUT top right of that page, click & a drop down menu appears. In there you will find 'report user'

Good luck

If they've blocked you, I don't think they'll show up in search. However, if they've sent you a msg, or vice versa, there will be a link to their profile from that. You can also get to any profile by using https://www.fabswingers.com/profile/xxxx and replacing the xxxx with the user name.

Will a person I reported get automatically blocked for me or do I have to do it? I reported someone and not sure if they blocked me or if it was automatic. And if they blocked me not sure if the report went through or not. Hence the ask.

Usually admin block each profile after a report

Admin have said they put a block between people for some things. It doesn't hurt to do your own blocking though

I reported someone for blatantly asking for money in their status

Asking for money for sex is not allowed although there are numerous ways around it.

The profile was still there a few days later but a blank status

Fifth post down explains how admin deal with reports. I suspect from that they were issued with a warning
