Click on " have you forgotten your password" before you log in and it should send you a reminder to the mail address you used to register.

Computers can save the password for here (and other sites) but doesn't show the characters, so possibly he can still log in but has still forgotten what the password actually is and you need to know it if you want to change it, for example.
