Hi.
I was just replying to someone on my friends list with the following message:
"club says "Single guys and couples £25, single ladies free."
I've messaged ..... who runs club 3 times now to ask what the entry fee would be with me for me ( tgirl) but they've always read the email and then deleted it without replying."
When I clicked send.. I got a message saying I'd been blocked for sending spam. What is in that message that triggered the auto-block so that I don't run afoul of it again?

I'd guess sending the same message several times would trigger it. If they haven't replied even though they've read it then I guess I'd follow the general rule that someone isn't interested in responding.
If the club has a website then there's likely to be a list of FAQs or a contact email address. Try that? |

You Dont Need to Know, right now |
If you've received a temporary ban for sending "spam", this will be an auto-ban. It definitely won't be for sending the same message 3 times and getting no reply (the same guy has mailed me once a month since I joined LOL, always with the same cut-and-paste)
The site has software which checks for web-addresses in messages. This software isn't fool proof - it can misread a certain combination of words, and see web-addresses where none exist. For example, a message sent to a lady with slut in her site-name might be "I love sluts. Come to my house...." This might be misread by the software as a web-address dot com.
The ban on messages usually lifts itself after a couple of hours, but if is doesn't, use the Contact link to ask the site Admins to look into it. |

I'd forgotten I'd made this thread
Thanks for the answers.. I will add that the messages were not in quick succession - 3 times over a 6 month period ( which Is why I didn't think I was spamming )
I guess the system must just do a simple count of unread messages. |
