I dont think people can see them from a mobile but im sure you can from the desktop site

No they are automatically hidden, public and friends only.

My profile is hidden but if you look it says there are public pics but if you click they are hidden.

Years ago you could still see them, but admin changed it last year after seeing discussions about it.
