Writing on the wall

Hello everyone. Can someone please tell me how to write some status on the wall?

Just go into the 'update status' button

You wont see your own status on the updates pages unless you have urself on your hotlist

I can see my status update and I haven't put myself on the hotlist?

When you go into updates and news feed you can see your own status at the top

I'm on the mobile app btw
