When people who have no verifications on their account meet in person, how do they verify each other?
As you have to be verified before being able to verify someone else it seems an impossible task. |

Obviously not as every verified profile on this site was in this position at one point and we have all managed to get veried.
You either meet another who has been meet/cam veried or get on cams and get veried that way.
Not exactly rocket science is it? |

No, it's not rocket science and we didn't say it was.
We were merely making the point that it's a bit restrictive as it forces you to meet verified members before you are able to verify someone yourself.
Should this have to be the case? We don't think it should.
This must have been introduced since the site went live. Initially there would have been one member, who won't have been verified, then there would have been another who wouldn't have been verified also, and so on. As none of the initial members were verified, this would have prevented anyone from being verified at all.
I know of genuine people who have met who remain unverified and don't see why they should have to meet or cam with people they don't necessarily want to just to become verified themselves. |

They don't have to do anything they don't want to.
However they can attend clubs and socials to get verified if they prefer. Or plenty of members are happy to meet unverified people for coffee and then verify them.
I imagine that the owners and their friends verified each other in the early days. |

This is covered on the FAQs on this site:-
"Q. I've met someone but neither of us are verified so how can we verify each other?
A. One of you needs to be verified in order to verify the other person. Your best bet is for the female to get verified by another member e.g. on cam"

When the veri system started the site owners would verify profiles as genuine by phone call. Not plausable now with the thousands of members joining every week. Hell when I joined here the veri by phone call option was still available (other site members, not admin). |

I think the admin needs to change that setting. I do not necessarily have to meet someone verified to verify me. If I have met a lady who is not verified we should be able to verify each other because we have met each other and can testify. It means we are being forced to communicate with people that we don't want to just because we need verifications. That is wrong I think . |

If two unverified people could verify each other, it would make the whole verification system meaningless. When the site was started, the original owners invited their friends to join, and those friends introduced and verified their own friends, and so on and so on. A ripple effect, with each new set of members being verified back to the original site owners. In that way, people know that verified people come with a kind of a recommendation.
If two unverified people could verify each other, this 'circle of trust' would be broken, and verifications would no longer imply some kind of recommendation. Also, there would be nothing to stop 2 random people - who hadn't met - agreeing to verify each other, to give them both a 'step up'. The verification system would have no integrity, and would be meaningless. |

Extremely well explained. |

It is only wrong if you we're made to join this site against your will and had to abide by the rules whereas if you freely chose to join then abiding by the rules is part of your free membership |
