The site says to go to settings icon on home page on my iPhone however I don't have a settings icon. Is it because I'm not a sight member?

Look harder man

Settings - from home screen (icon looks like a cog)

Privacy

Location services

Turn it on.

Then you have to turn on see who's near on fab. After you have done that you will get a pop up asking if you want to allow safari to access your location. Click OK.
