I think those are the only 2 reasons that stop a verification coming through ...
1) you are outside their filters, or they are outside your filters.
2) you have shared an internet connection with them at some point in the past - when you say you had a face-to-face meeting was it e.g. in a coffee shop where you both (separately) checked Fab from your phones? This might count as sharing a wifi-connection.
If neither of these are true (and the other person is already verified), maybe asks them again if they are sure they did the verification properly. |
