"how to add to local updates, maybe if i add i will get off the start line"
Go to the site home page, click on update status and write on there. That will then show in the local updates feed. It lasts for 2 days if you leave it but you can update it at any time. |

You Dont Need to Know, right now |
But you won't see your own update, in the local updates. Because you know what your update said! But the other people who are local and match your preferences will see your update in THEIR local updates page. |

I see my updates in my hotlist as I hotlisted myself  but yes your right, you won't see yourself in the local updates as it's for other people who's preferences you meet. |
