We have now found out the issue with some email notifications.

If your ISP is Virgin media there lays the issue.

VM have recently changed their Servers and are now managed by google mail, and they have built in features that automatically block repetitive email traffic (there is nothing you can do about it).

There are many web forums on this and VM are not responding to the issue..

It started off affecting blueyonder accounts, now NTLworld accounts and some VM accounts..

Only solution is to change your email address, we have and no more issues.

I remember posting in that thread, good to know. Not sure if i'll change my email or not, do like getting notifications though.

I find it better to have a generic email address, yahoo, gmail etc. If you change internet provider you lose your email address otherwise xx

I used a blueyonder address to register and I've no issues with email regarding Fab. Perhaps though it's because I opted out of receiving them

My notifications through Virgin Media have starting working again now, think they've fixed the issue now.
