If you've done stuff like
* email/message them on the email address you use on facebook
* phone/message them on the phone number you use on facebook
* you or your friends have used the "import contacts" stuff on facebook
We obviously don't share any of our data but facebook hooks into all your contacts (or, your contacts contacts)
Then yes

That's why I use the browser rather that's the app. The app constantly asks if it can scour your contacts to use, meaning that if you accidentally grant access, it starts associating your contacts with Facebook.
I got so fed up with them putting a box up that you could very easily accidentally press, granting access, that I deleted the app.
The browser doesn't hijack your contacts so I think it's best to use the browser on your phone. |
