Does anyone know why some members have a thumbnail pic against their name in browse results and some don't?

Members can use any pic on there profile as an avatar pic, some do some dont personal choice. just like you have pics on your profile but none set as avatar ( the little thumb pic that appears on your profile in searches) lol hope this helps
