I contacted a friend on here with no issues about age before, but it said I was out of their age, I have contacted them and they are still able to contact me but I can't reply can anyone help |

Are you sure you can't send a message to them?
There is a "warning" screen, encouraging you to think again before sending a message, if you are not what they are looking for. However, you can still proceed to send the message.
If they have set their filters to exclude your age group, you can't send a message. You will get the screen saying "Sorry, you can't send private mail to this user. Why? You're outside the age range this user has chosen to receive contacts from." If they do want to be in contact with you, then if they send you a friends request, this should overcome the filter.

If one message has been sent and replied to that over rides filters.
OP are you sure its not the block screen you getting rather than message warning screen |

Can you still send messages to other profiles?
If you can't you may have either
Run out of messages if you have sent loads today.
Have a temporary messaging ban.
Message filters won't apply if you have been mailed by the other party. And if you can still see their profile then they haven't bocked you.
Other than that, I have no idea. |

Yeah sounds like you have run out of messages. Even if their age limit is on you can still mail anyone who you mailed before that limit and/or messages your inbox.
Upgrading removes the limit, otherwise it goes after 24 hrs. |
