Bring up any video you like, youtube etc.
Right click on it to bring up a flash configuration box.
Check out your cam settings in flash.
Think that might just do the trick. |

Kev,
Try un-installing the software via 'control panel' then reboot and re-install, it maybe that one of the 'drivers' that came with the cam when you installed it is conflicting with one that's already present (newer v older)

So in newchat do yourself on your cam top-right of the screen?
Do you have a "cam" icon next to your name?
Have you got any firewall/anti-virus running? Can you turn off temporarily to see if that works?

"Similar problem except our cam will work in the old chat rooms but not in the new one."
Try clicking in the "Your cam" box top right, click "settings" then ensure that chat.fabswingers.com has access to your cam, click remember then exit room and go back in let us know if any joy

I had similar problems and realised finaly that if you using the cam software and also trying to show on fab it didn't work!
All I did was make sure the cam was connected properly (witout switching on)clicked on the the show cam button in chat room and hey presto! The cam came on and I was up and running.
So try it without turning cam on first!!
Daft but it worked for me.
Good luck

64 bit is only a problem if your also using a 64 bit browser. I think there is a 64 bit alpha or beta version of flash but generally you have to use a 32 bit browser and use 32 bit flash.

Im running widows 7 ultimate 64bit. internet explorer 8. and installed latest flash too.
i do not switch my cam on until im in chat then switch it on and it runs perfectly. Basically make sure cam is off before you go into chat then switch it on when you want it. |
