On the top browser bar you will see a blue square with a document symbol in the middle.
Click it, which will switch IE8 to compatibility mode and it will work fine .....

"step away from the IE8
believe it can cause all sorts of probs"
LOL I know!!
But I'm in a 'we eat our own dog food' situation here as its part of keeping current.
But if anyone can confirm is still ok for IE7 and down I would be grateful.
Thanks.

"I have just upgraded my XP machine to IE 8
(I know, why? But I did,)
Now I notice the 'Go to newest in thread' link at the top of each post has stopped working.
Is it the site or IE8?
Anyone?"
There was a previous post on the go to the newest in thread button.

The easiest way to get to the newest is to push the End key on your keyboard and the Home key to go to the start again, the Backspace button also takes you back one page at a time on your browser.
IE8 works fine in compatibility mode on the forums and its easier to use that than revert back to IE7.

Yeh, I know the end button trick, but on very long posts such as the Pussy Possy ones it is not as quick as you need to refresh the whole page first.
The back space works fine still but I use a multi button mouse, so back a page is just a thumb click; even easier.
Still experimenting with the pros and cons of IE8 though, so far it's nice but not a big step. Time will see.

As people have said move away from IE8. Not all browsers are equal. If you want to use IE8 then thats fine if you want to see the net as it should be seen then download firefox, netscape or opera |
