google reversed someone on our friends list images and found them to belong to someone on facebook. their name is different on here to facebook but this person said that their real name is the same as on here we are not sure what to do any advice

I'm not sure that you need to do anything. Surely people can be on both sites even if they're using different names. I think most people don't use their real name on here.
