Why when someone sends me a message does the server appear to remove the photo once I've viewed it?
Also if I save a message this used to just save that one particular message with any attachment. Now it appears to move the thread so that any subsequent messages from that user also go in to saved, eventually pushing the message I really wanted out of the saved inbox!!
These things used to work just fine!! |

If someone sends you a picture they can now choose for it to be deleted after a few hours of you receiving it
I don't know about your issue with saved messages though ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

You can only save messages if you're a site supporter, to a saved folder. to keep a message short term (I don't know if after a while they're auto deleted) you have to delete messages you don't want from your in box. To free up room to keep the ones you want. Think of it as having a party, your house gets too full, so you kick out a few guests you're not so fond of x
The deleted photos part is quite different and a fantastic new feature. |

Oh that may explain about the photos bit, but not sure everyone knows about it.
They must have cleared their sent items then and that's meant is removed the photo in the message from me? Don't think that's what they'd intended seeing as it was from a friend and they'd literally sent it about 5 minutes beforehand .
As for the saved messages, I'm aware of the need to be a site supporter (which I am). The functionality doesn't work in the same manner as it used to for me, completely negating the 'save' function.
Once I save a message from a user, new messages from that user not only go to my inbox but also to the saved message. Pushing out the detail of the saved message.
This is not what used to happen and doesn't fulfill the primary requirement of "saving" !!!!
