Hi Guys,

I don't want to be offering myself into situations where people aren't looking for me.

I saw an event for a couple looking for a meet that said:

"At this meet looking for: F M MF"

I read that as "At this meet we are looking for a Female, OR a Male, OR a Male/Female couple" I am new to the site so is that the right interpretation? I am confused because when I messaged them they said they were only looking for "single bi females"

Now I totally get that maybe they were just trying to let me down gently and just weren't interested, but help me out so I don't make a foul of myself!

Yes thats correct. There isnt an option for them to be able to ask for someone who is straight/bi/gay , so you wont know that until you message them. As you did

I have been in the same situation when I have been looking through the meets. I find if a meet looks of interest I will take a quick look at their profile before messaging. This helps to see if we have similar interests.

I'm assuming you enquired as a couple so maybe they had already received a lot of interest from couples and were now just looking at adding some more single bi-females to the mix.

Only my guess, but like was said above, you had a lot to offer the party.
