Milton Keynes

A few days ago, someone said something like "Say yes if you want me to ..." about the fem he was with. Several watchers said "Yes" then the cammer was immeadiatly banned. I looked at the the rules and can't see anything about this, unless it is considered spamming??

Just don't want to make the same mistake!

It is not considered spamming or flooding unless you put it in very fast on every line or constantly putting a copied and pasted message in every couple of minutes.

Maybe the person got banned for something you hadn't noticed, but sayin yes isnt a bannable offence

The rules do go through the room every few minutes, or you can find them when you click on the chat link before you enter chat.

never heard of someone being banned for just using capitals the once caring, so obviously i dont know who did the banning, but best thing for us all to do is read the chat rules they come up in the room most of the time as well as being on homepage that way none of us should break any of the rules and we can all play nice and safe and norty and wickedxxx

Thats a classic, would love to know which chat op would go out of there way to ban someone who is leaving the chatroom anyway and who was just saying goodbye.... lmfao

Candy - If it was "Hola" on the way in, why not "Adios" on the way out?

I thought the rules state you can't put a whole sentence in caps but have seen ppl pulled up for even using them in part

If you have concerns about the mods just use the "contact us" form and we will look into it

The only time I use caps as a mod is in the event of issuing a warning to someone, for example,

"XXX - please do not DIRECT it is AGAINST THE RULES, any more and you will be BANNED"

This tends to make the warning stand out against all the other chat which is going on in the room at the time, thus making the offender more aware of his/her error

9 times out of ten I do give a warning before banning someone - so I think in this stuation, a few caps has to be preferable to a summary ban without warning ?

Yes or no ?

The Mods there do a great job, i have no problem with the warnings or the rules. Every rule is there to keep people happy and safe.

"why do we need mods to tell some 1 to stop directing me im quite capable of telling them myself and i know were the block button is and i think we are perfectly safe online "

You'll find that every forum or chatroom had moderation otherwise it would be a free for all.

lets look at an example; You tell someone to stop directing you, they tell you to fuck off. What do you so then ?

Nothing you can do is there ? So the pleasure of the room or forum is spoiled for everyone else.

A mod can deal with a situation swiftly and without further disruption - you cannot - hence th requirement for mods !

"id block them simple !!!"

Which is fair enough - but no matter how much you disagree with their presence mods are there to keep an eye on things and to ensure that the rules of the site are adhered to and that the enjoyment of others is not spoiled.

Its a bit like saying, why do we have the police, I can hit a burglar with a baseball bat ....
