Cam not working

Hi, my Acer HD Crystal Eye webcam won't work on newchat. Tried all the things suggested. Running Windows 7 and Firefox 29.0. Cam only appears in tiny window inside Adobe Flash Player Settings when I select the cam icon.

This might sound odd....but see if it will work with a mic plugged in.

My cam is just showing a white screen when i go into chat and was wondering if anyone knows y that is. Running windows 7 with latest adobe player and my cam works on skype

Doesn't even have to be a microphone - any mini-jack plugged into the mic socket seems to work!
