I have set my profile to only receive messages from guys with photos on their public profile. Yet I still receive the occasional message from guys who don't have photos on their public pics. Same goes for verifications. I believe I have settings that state I dont wish to receive messages from guys without verifications. Although I think the flaw here...is when someone IS verified but chooses not to show them. I accept people have the right to privacy but it does effectively mean that no showing a verification is as good as not having one in practical terms? |

If they have the green tick they are verified and can contact you as a verified member as per your filters.
Thats the same whether they are choosing to show their verifications or not - they are verified (as per your filters).
There is no filter for 'verified with verifications on display'. Is that what you mean? |

Yes...I have discovered that. Its a tricky one though. As I say, I know its peoples right not to show veris but if they show none at all...then its difficult to make a judgement
But I still get messages with no photos on public profile. Even though I set settings for only those with public photos. |

An avatar counts as having a public pic though - and I think someone can make a pic public, send a message and then put the pic back into private...
So that might be what is happening? |

Maybe. Not sure. I just delete them anyway....but wondered how they were getting through my settings. It does make me wonder if its even worth having settings that request verifications which they can choose not to show, and request public photos, which as you say, they can simply make private at a moments notice. Almost makes a mockery of it, doesnt it? Oh well.
