I used to have a long list of messages sent to me. Now they are removed except for a few. There are none past 7 days old. Do they go off after so long.

If they do go off, should I make any messages I want to keep under saved messages. Will they stay there permanently?

Probably those who sent them have left the site.

No guarantees are provided on how long messages stay around for, unless you save them in your saved folder (extra benefit for site donators only).

Just realised your not a UK member, so no idea how saved messages work for people outside the UK that cant donate to the site.

Better ask admin direct

Your best bet is to delete messages you're done with
