Maybe a dumb question.

im not verfied. I met with a couple who are not verified. We want to verify each other, but it doesn't seem possible.

No it isn't. You or the couple (both of them) need to get verified by a verified member first. So either head into chat & ask someone verified to verify you or meet with someone verified (or clubs/social also an option)
