It has come to our attention that our name has been used of a forum and used in an email to someone outside Fab,we havnt gave permission for this and if we had been asked if our names could be used,we would never agreed.
Now we are not 100% if this has happened but would like some advice on this,would this be allowed? and can people do this? |

members are not allowed to name and shame in any of the forums it is against the rules. But I suppose anyone can email anyone about anything, but if it is only on fabswinger.com you can complain to admin. Also you can protect yourself by clicking PRIVACY to other search engines thats good to do |

Are they using your real names or your user name? If it's your user name to someone not on fab, how do you know and how does the recipient know it's you? Does your user name identify you in any way? If you're called John and Anne for example and these names are being used, then can't see the problem as there are a few other people with the same name. Or am I just confused here and missing the point/problem? Z |

No, its our user name that has been used to stop an event going ahead,and although i know we cant be identified and we will never meet the MP or residents or the brewery who were emailed and our names were given along with others who were attending,we have not agreed to this or been asked if it was ok to. |

So JnPWirral was used to prevent an event taking place? I really can't compute that, do you know that for a fact and how does it affect you if no one knows it;s you? Confused in bolton X |

Yes Zoe,i know that for a fact and no it doesnt affect us,just not happy that although we didnt have a problem with the even going ahead someone of here used our names to stop it as we replied to a thread. |
