Wink from a hidden profile

Here's something I don't follow: the other night I received a wink from a local couple. After the initial yell of "Woohoo!" I click on their name to read their profile only to discover it wasn't visible. In its place was a message that either I had blocked them (nope), they had blocked me (unlikely, given the wink) or that their account was blocked by the powers that be.

What I'm trying to work out is how they could wink past a block. Is that possible?

Maybe they winked by mistake, and then blocked you once they realised their mistake?

Maybe one half of the couple winked you, then the other half of the couple felt that you weren't a suitable match, so blocked you?

Or maybe they winked and subsequently Admin suspended their profile?

Could be anything. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

A hidden profile and a blocked user are two different things are they not?

If it says blocked, they may have blocked you and winked by mistake before pressing block user or Admin may have suspended their account.

A Hidden profile says "This profile is hidden" or something like that.

Thanks for the responses folks. The account in question shows this message

"You can't view this profile

This profile is not available for you to view.

This can be one of three things: User's account is suspended by admin, user has blocked you or you have blocked user."

I'm inclined to go with the accidental wink, or the suspension of the account after the wink. Whatever the reason I'm not worried about it, just wondered if anyone had seen the like before or if they'd somehow snuck out of jail for a quick wink before creeping back in again
