"Your profile says you're not looking for any gender. if you've unticked them all then you wont have any local updates... it shows people who match your preferences"
Add to that - If your age range stays at 0 to 0 the Local Updates won't come back either!  |

That's very odd as when I took a break, I changed my age to 98-99 and unticked what I was looking for yet still had people showing up on the home page or was that only friends up dates? |
