Been blocked for a couple of hours for a web site in a message…..there was no website mentioned…???????????? |

The message that pops up doesn't just mention websites
It says
"To protect our users from SPAM or UNWELCOME CONTENT, because your message contained a WEB SITE or UNWELCOME CONTENT it has been blocked. Just hit back and remove the website name or address and the message will be sent This is to protect people like you from receiving spam!
PS. please don't try and get around the blocks or your account will be removed"
The block normally lifts after a couple of hours |

This happened to us, but also no website.. how do we know what the unwelcome content is?! It was a perfectly reasonable message! |

Me too right now and I seem to have been blocked since 4.30 more than 2hrs, when this block end so frustrating |

Just have to take it on the chin and wait, as you're unlikely to get a response if you contest the ban.
Not a complaint, just truthful as admin are generally constantly busy. I've done chat admin work before and some days it's nonstop.
The problem is what one person sees as okay, another will not. Could also simply have misread the "offending" comment. Admin are human and aren't perfect. Mistakes can be made.
The automatic ban filter for certain words can be frustrating, as we are never privy to what words are unacceptable. Generally keeping it nice and polite, with no mention of other sites, will avoid a ban.
If they are bans from private messages (not sure if the auto ban is functional there), the best option is to move away from the site to a messaging app when everyone is comfortable. Then you can say whatever you like to each other, without fear of reprisal. |

Just to confirm the above poster must be talking about doing Admin before on a different site.
There are no Admins who read peoples mails to check what they are writing and then giving out a mail block.
The block on mails is an automatic block set up to keep us all safe from spammers or undesirables.
If you go over the mail you have tried to send you may be able to figure out an odd word or sentance that could be the issue. Anything that wouldn't be suitable for an adult site ( no matter how innocent ) anything that wouldn't be within site rules etc will get you a block. |
