Using text service for silver supporter issue

Wonder if anyone can help have used a pay as you go mobile to obtain code and then put on my main mobile not had any issues doing this since 2016 until yesterday I had topped up my pay as you go and then sent the usual text did not get a reply and tried again and similar happened third attempt had ran out if credit and been charge fully at each attempt any advice be appreciated thanks
