Reporting a photo that broke rules

Hi everyone, hope someone may have encountered this issue before as there’s nothing in the FAQ’s and no response from admin sadly. They say they don’t respond to queries. So, Recently a FWB added a picture that happened to contravene the rules as it my face wasn’t obscured. When I couldn’t get him directly and I was in a blind panic to get it down for work reasons. I reported the photo (not the person/profile). All that resulted in was he and I being blocked from each other’s profiles and losing verifications etc. He is a sound guy that did in fairness remove picture as soon as I asked when I did get a hold of him. But admin did A) nothing to help and now B) we can’t see each other’s profiles or verify etc or share other pics. It wasn’t done with malice on either part and no one wanted to be blocked. I just wanted the pic down asap but as I say… that’s where we are at and I don’t know how to remedy it. Furthermore I’m quite pissed at Fab that they have rules but not the software to prevent such pictures being loaded. What exactly is their “approval” process for photos, if the allow photos that break their rules?? It doesn’t encourage those of us who require discretion really to join/remain on Fab if admin can’t even abide by their own rules. Plus can I just add, I’ve lost a friend over this as he now thinks that it was me who blocked him, not admin (which I did not do and wouldn’t do as I needed to see when the pic was removed). All suggestions greatly received lovely Fabbers and hopefully Admin will take a look and see can something be don’t to prevent this happening for more people. After all, we all just want a bit of harmless fun ?? |

When you upload a pic the tab is there for rules....Photo Rules
Strictly adults 18+ only. You and anyone in the photos must be aged 18+ and MUST have been 18+ at the time the photos were taken.
The photos must be yours and you must be in the photos. You must be in any photo you upload. This means that photos of your bike/car/dildo collection for example, will be rejected unless you are in the photo too.
Nothing nasty. The photo can't show anyone who might be being hurt, or who has been hurt. It also can't show anything that is outside the norms. If it's too rude, taboo or unpleasant, or if it puts us off our dinner, it is not welcome here.
We're not Facebook. The site isn't for family shots, it's not facebook. That means ONLY pictures of adults aged 18+ at the time the photo was taken, no matter what the context.
No watermarks. Photo can't be watermarked. If your photo is watermarked either by this site or another site, it will be rejected. We can only accept original photos.
Others in your photo OK so long as faces are obscured and you have permission. You can have other people in your photos too (to clarify, you must also be in the photo) so long as you have their permission to upload to your account on here AND their faces are obscured (face pixellated or blacked out; just blacking out the eyes is NOT ok).
Legal. The photo can't show any illegal activity.
No pets / animals. Sorry, but you can't include your pets in the photos. Unfortunately, this turns some perverts on and we don't want their kind on Fab.
No public scenes with identifiable adults or under 18s. Photos taken in public places with other people in the background who can be identified OR under 18 will be rejected. If you have photos like this you want on the site, crop them in a graphics program or blank everyone in the background.

Normally you don't find out what happens to reports but in cases like this you will get a mail saying they are looking into it, then another mail when resolved.
It is helpful if you give a bit longer for Admin to investigate these type of reports as the people being reported will be getting mails from Admin too. |
