Friend requests not coming through

It seems I'm not getting friends requests coming through...had a couple of instances today when someone messaged me saying they'd sent a request but I've not had any in my inbox. Any idea?

They won't go into your inbox. You'll see them on your account page

That's what I meant, not showing on the relevant section where new requests normally sjow
