I gave out a mobile number because someone wanted a WhatsApp chat and then they just went quiet. If I delete the email will the other person still be able to see the messages exchanged between us?

Firstly I always get to know someone before any exchange of numbers as this can lead to other searches on other platforms as for the second question yes they'll know that you've deleted the message/messages as it has a line through it
