Why doesn’t messaging become a premium feature?

For a new guy that lives near London, there’s not a chance I’m going to get verified, every message I have sent is unread. You can join for free and just bombard the locals with messages and leave all of the paying fabbers amongst the hundred of messages. What am I missing? |

Do you want feedback on your profile?
Messaging should always be free.
It makes it more welcoming and open to the new and curious.
If someone is getting too many messages they can filter them.

Don't you think that your grumble is giving off a sense of entitlement?
Do you really think that the only reason why your messages aren't being read is because of the likelyhood that those you are messaging are being inundated with messages from non site-supporters?
You do realise that pretty much everybody checks out a profile before even thinking about opening any messages - just because they don't show up in your 'who's looked at me' doesn't mean they haven't as most of those you're interested in will be viewing in mode.
I'm afriad your post is coming across very much as 'I'm paying to use the site so I expect people to read my messages'

There was a thread a few months back regarding messaging, and it was mostly females but some males had the same issue.
Topic was something like “Don’t double message, as my inbox is full”
There was a thread something like….The profile would state “no one liners, I’m fine thanks, put thought in the message”, plus all these other conditions, I. put thought into it, and sent a face pic, and it was still left unread, so i followed it up and the their status then read sorry for mass delete to many messages….
that is rude in my book and actually felt bad for them.
I’ve been on here a year and reply to everyone who messages me. Even if it’s “sorry you’re just not my type” goes a long way!!
“Having 150/300 a day” is no excuse, set your contact only ages to something reasonable and that alone will end that problem.
