Why do some message threads disappear from inbox and sent. I don't mean ones from long time ago which seem to drop of the list after a while anyway. I mean like recent threads whilst many before them are still there. Is there an explanation or just another conundrum to remain unsolved

The only time I've had this happen is if I've deleted them myself or if they leave the site.
