How do you change the distance on or profile page

The distance on your profile is how far you are from another person, like when i looked its saying 170 miles, someone nearer you will say 5 miles etc you cant change it

Ah so it dosntvwork properly then as it said 10 and there were 4 people online who live within 4 miles
