Turning on GPS location etc and allowing the site to use makes the distances even more inaccurate ..

Try this go to your Google map check it, pinpoints your device, go to browser settings check location switch off then turn device off/on go back to browser settings switch location for sites permission on. Clear your cookies then accept permission on the site
