You can block them and it will remove the text of the verification but still show on your veri count. However if you've been given false verifications report the profiles doing it as it's against site rules |

Verification might not show if they are exchanged while both ppl are using same WiFi connection.
There might also be issues with filters if you get verification from a group you are not interested in communicating with, I'm sure I have seen that mentioned in similar discussions.

Hi, I met and verified a lovely lady tonight. Another guy joined us but after initially agreeing to him being mentioned my meet is having second thoughts and is asking if I can edit the verification and remove his involvement? |

You can't edit verifications but she can choose not to show it |
