Is there a way for someone to delete a verification. I used the persons name in a veri and they haven't posted it but rather than keeping it hidden is there a way to remove it entirely?

No... You will have to write a new veri that can be displayed

You could always as admin via the contact us at the bottom of your profile as adding another verification is going to add up the number of meets
