Mobile phone distance ??

We sometimes chat to others who claim to be 100's or 1000's of miles away yet home and mobile distances on their profile BOTH claim say 10-15 miles and still say the same an hour later even though still chatting with us here

Is this a known problem with the mobile distance or are they usually lying ?

It depends if they've got the location on there phone available or activated

I know when I’ve logged onto fab when travelling I still get messages from people back home who think I’m still local. So I am presuming it doesn’t always update correctly.
