I've just had someone contact me who I blocked maybe a year ago and he's unlocked. I didn't unblock him.

Could he have created a new profile in that time?

We've blocked a guy and he comes back every so often, same pictures, mainly, pretty much same profile bio, and almost exactly the same message.

I'm not aware of them wearing off it's either a different profile or maybe a glitch they do happen occasionally

Some people periodically delete their profiles and create new ones - almost identical to their last ones. How long they keep the same profile for varies.

I often wonder if they do it to get around blocks etc, but only they know why.

Sometimes I wonder if some of them only create a profile when they're actively looking, only to delete it once they have satisfied their need.

For example, without mentioning any namesbor giving clues to identities, there are a handful in this corner of the country that tend to last for less than a week and then they're gone again. Only to pop up again a few weeks later.

It's most likely a similar case with the one you're referring to OP. Best to look at when it was created to be sure

Down the back of the sofa.

Of course if you delete your profile, the username will become available again and then they can recreate the same profile. It’s quite a clunky old system.

"I've just had someone contact me who I blocked maybe a year ago and he's unlocked. I didn't unblock him. "

I've had this on my solo account. It's been where they've deleted their account and made another one with either the identical or almost identical user name.

I've only realised when they've messaged on the new profile or if they've checked my profile out and I've noticed in the last people to look at you.

I've had someone blocked from my first month on here 4 years ago and he's still on my blocked list so I don't think they get unblocked after a time. That person who contacted you must have made a new profile.

OP just check how long the profile has been active for.

That should tell you if they’ve rejoined.

If it’s over a year old then it’s the original profile.

I don’t believe they do wear off. I was doing a search and I came across a couple who blocked me about 4 years ago when I clicked on the profile it said You can’t view this profile as you are blocked.

Does it say when the profile was created?

One had someone make a new profile at least 6 times... I now recognise him from how he holds the phone in a selfie.. and block him each time before he gets chance to message.

I would think the multiple profile thing more likely then a block wearing off.

Here and there

Sadly as others say folk can delete and set up same account name etc, stalkers way round it.

Seriously had bona fide stalker got quite nasty cops involved etc

I don't think many of the features work on this site. After all, you can block messages from people without public pictures on their profile and yet you still get those messages.

That's because there's a way round that particular block

That’s simple they make a picture public send the message then hide the picture again
