People Commenting On Closed Threads

Hi.

Fab's forum coding has it that when threads hit 175 replies they automatically close.

Why is it I frequently see people still able to sneak in comments more than a minute or two after threads have been closed? Whereas for myself personally I've experienced before in the past making a comment on a thread, only to find that I can't post it because "thread closed, too big".

175 means 175, end of.

Hope to have a reply.

As a follow up, as the latest example of what I've described, a 175-ed thread can somehow have the 180th reply come in... a full 20 minutes AFTER it has already been closed.

What gives?

If yiu have the tab open to type a new reply before the thread has hit 175 then it will upload to the closed thread.

175 posts stops you opening a new tab to post a new reply

Yeah I get that, except I've had it happen in the past where this didn't work for me the same way it worked for other profiles.

Also by the way you couldn't be more obvious with your sarcasm having a go at me. Seeing from our past interactions that we clearly do not like each other, I've no interest in crossing paths with you on the forum or in real life, so please accord me the same space. Thanks.

A couple of things, this is the help section. If people don't want to help that's fine but please leave the thread alone instead of arguing or posting sarcastic comments as it doesn't help at all

Also, as much as people think it hilarious to say you have diamond or platinum membership and get more benefits, people don't realise it is a "joke" so contact Admin about it and it gives Admin more work. Please stop doing this

To the OP, as mentioned, people will have the page open already and write on it at a later time but most threads stop at 175
