Can profiles disappear?

If a profile remains dormant/unused for an extended period/years, does it disappear/automatically delete?

As far as I am aware, it just stays dormant.

I doubt it because I have a friend who hasn't logged in here since 2018 and I can still see his profile.

Ok thank. I’m looking for someone whose name I can’t remember but when I search the criteria it only goes back 10 pages. Anything after that appears to be lost…..

Profiles disappear if they're deleted by the profile holder, I don't think they show in searches if they're hidden or you're blocked but I'm not 100% sure on that

Profiles do become 'invisible', whether deliberately or accidentally, by the site or by the member ands there is absolutely no way to find out why or how to rectify - and Fabguys is even worse.

How do I know this?

I know people to whom it has happened.

There are other glitches too, not being able to fab, unable to post on forums to name but two.

But it is free so I suppose we just have to live with the quirks?

Profile remain if not been active I have few friends whom gone AWOL several years still as friends profile viewable... So I don't know if the same case as mentioned if searching by user name
