Lost messages in new mailbox

Don’t know what I did but managed to tap something whilst browsing messages whilst distracted now message thread is gone, still there if I go to old mail but don’t know if friend is getting messages, what do I do ?

You hit the delete. If it is a message thread go to your sent messages and you can find the thread again
