Why have this facility to tick an option of whether you are married, single or attached when filling in your profile details, if the information is not shown on profiles ? |

Would be a great idea but not all marrieds/attached would tick that box. For me if a profile says says cannot accommodate and doesn't say 'single male' in their text, I err on the side of caution and see that as married/attached as I have been right the majority of the time |

We think it was a bug when we took over the site in 2008, we asked for the info but forgot to display it on profiles. We've got no plans to show it there now.

It is that I have had a few men who did not state in their profile that they were married, be very indignant when challenged about thier marrital status. They say they have been honest and declared it by ticking the 'married' box when setting up their profile. If you don't plan to use it admin, would it be possible to remove the option ? |

Mine wasn't an intentional 'pop' at married guys, though I personally would never knowingly meet one. It was just something that has occurred recently. Men getting indignant at me finding out they were married and not made clear on their profile. Their justification being, that they had ticked the 'married' option when setting up their profile. |

My not add "will not meet married/attached men" on your profile then? |

Because if they know you won't meet married/attached men, I can't le it out of them so easily |
