How long does an emil ban last for?

Merseyside

I have started chatting with somebody new, today I typed up a bit about myself so we can start to get to know each other a little bit better via email chat.

As far as I am aware there was nothing against Fab rules in my email text that I typed up. However, after trying to send the email the automated mail checker said I have website link in my text. It warned me it wasn’t allowed and if I try to get past the filters my account would be banned. It then told me to click back and change the text. When I did that it wouldn’t let me go back. I got a message saying I have been stopped from sending messages for a while.

I have read and re-read the text I typed up and for the life of me I cannot see why the email checker stopped me from sending the email message.

I got the short email ban about 12 – 1 PM. Every time I check to see if I can send a message I get told I cannot send messages for another couple of hours. When does my ban end? I have been on Fab for about 17 years. This is my first ever ban. I have never been banned form the forums or chat. I would never do anything that risks my profile being banned from Fab.

I don’t want the lady I am chatting with to think I am rude or ignoring her. As I can’t email her she may be thinking that. She can see I am online.

I've had the same problem...

Whenever you use a full stop ALWAYS press space and you will be OK.

Seeing as there is about 300 website suffixes, it's far too easy to confuse the algorithm, having fat fingers doesn't help.
