Red squiggly line spell check ? 
Using chrome and checked the setting's all seems in order. Whilst typing in this message field box any errors are usually flagged with a red squiggly underline.
Now i don't believe for one minute my spelling has improved but i do like to make an effort, anyone assist ?  |

Click the spanner - settings - show advanced - Under Languages - click spell-checker settings - English and NOT English (United states) - put a tick in the "Enable spell checking box - OK
If you spell a word incorrectly you get the red underline - right click the word and select the correct spelling
